School Rules and Regulations

Discipline and decorum are core values upheld throughout SBK. Girls’ Higher Secondary School. To foster a safe, respectful, and enriching learning environment, students are expected to follow the rules and guidelines outlined below

General Conduct

General Conduct

  • Students must proceed to the morning prayer/assembly in a quiet and orderly manner, maintaining discipline at all times.

  • Respect for teachers, elders, and fellow students are expected. Students should greet elders and staff as a sign of courtesy.

Attendance and Punctuality

  • All students must arrive at school on time. Students are expected to be present by 8:50 a.m. every day.

  • If a student requires leave, a written request signed by the parent/guardian must be submitted to the class staff and approved by the Headmistress.

  • After examinations, student report cards will be sent to parents. Parents are expected to review and sign it. For Grades 10 and 12, mark statements must be collected in person by parents.

Dress Code

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform daily, ensuring neatness and cleanliness.

  • Hair must be properly braided and tied with ribbons as per school guidelines.

  • Wearing valuable jewelry is strictly prohibited.

Identity and Safety

  • Students must wear their school-issued identity cards visibly at all times while on campus.

  • Entry into the school premises is allowed only via designated school transport; private or unauthorized vehicles are not permitted.

Electronic Gadgets & Personal Belongings

  • Mobile phones are not allowed on campus. The use or possession of mobile phones during school hours is strictly prohibited.

  • Students are discouraged from bringing large sums of money, cameras, expensive gadgets, or fancy items to school.

Campus Cleanliness

  • Every student is responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the school premises.

  • Littering is not allowed. Paper waste and leftover food must be disposed of in designated bins.

  • The use of plastic is banned within the campus. Students are encouraged to use cloth bags.

  • Biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste must be segregated and disposed of responsibly.

Parental Communication

  • If a student is being sent home early or if a parent visits the school, a written note clearly stating the student's name, class, and reason is required. Parents/guardians are requested to wait in the designated area.

  • Parents are welcome to meet the Headmistress or class teacher during working hours to discuss their child's academic performance or other concerns.
